L’IAP et plusieurs de ses collègues et amis ont souhaité lui rendre hommage en organisant une journée d’étude qui reviendra sur l’impact
scientifique et humain de Jean-Pierre Lasota en astrophysique relativiste, sur ses implications communautaires et ses efforts pour rapprocher théorie et observations. Les exposés reviendront sur l’héritage qu’il laisse sur des sujets aussi variés que la relativité générale, les AGN, les disques d’accrétion et les systèmes binaires.
Cette journée se tiendra le 19 septembre 2025 dans l’amphithéâtre de l’IAP entre 9h30 et 17h avec la participation de Marek Abramowicz, Jean Audouze, Steve Balbus, Didier Barret, Fabienne Casoli, Phil Charles, Nathalie Deruelle, Guillaume Dubus, Eric Gourgoulhon, Jean-Marie Hameury, Andrew
King, Wlodek Kluzniak, Matt Middleton, Patrick Peter, Marta Volonteri, Tsvi Piran (TBC) et Mitch Begelman (TBC).

The Dusty Universe 2025: The Fifth Pan Dust Conference, 10 – 14 Nov 2025, University of Arizona, Tucson, (USA)
1. Abstract submission for contributed talks/posters is open – with a deadline of 7 July 2025. Given the nature of this meeting, we invite abstracts for contributed talks that are complementary to the invited overview talks and have a broad appeal. Posters are a critical part of the meeting and we encourage posters abstract submissions from all. Poster will have flash talks, ample time during coffee breaks, and dedicated sessions to enable all to present and discuss posters. Any contributed talk abstract not selected will be accepted as a poster. Instructions for submitting are available in “Practical information” at: https://pandust2025.sciencesconf.org
2. The preliminary schedule of the meeting is available on the meeting website under “Preliminary Program.”
3. Forthcoming details will include information about registration details, hotels, planned tours, the conference dinner, and other activities.
4. This meeting will be mainly in-person with remote participation limited to viewing the talks. We are not able to support remote talks or posters.
