1. Appel à Contribution : Nominations Médailles CNRS
—————————————————————————————-

2. Atelier Journées SF2A : “S04 – Modeling galaxies at different scales”, 22-26 juin 2026, Grenoble, France
—————————————————————————————-
Supported by ATCG, we are organising an atelier (i.e. parallel session) during the Société Française d’astronomie et d’Astrophysique (SF2A) annual meeting that will take place from June 22nd to June 26th in Grenoble.
This session aims to bring together researchers working on modelling galaxies at different scales, from local, sub-parsec processes to large-scale cosmological environments. We particularly aim to welcome presentations of results obtained using all the different techniques used to model galaxies, from non-collisional dynamics and N-body methods to hydrodynamical simulations at different scales and semi-analytical models. The goal of the workshop is notably to foster discussions on the synergies, limitations, and future directions of these models.
We particularly encourage students, postdocs, and young researchers in France or with ties to the French community to present their work. Presentations will be in English.

3. “13th IRAM Millimeter interferometry School”, Septembre 28 – Octobre 3, 2026, Grenoble, France – First Announcement
—————————————————————————————-
The pre-registration of the 13th IRAM Interferometry School is now open!
The IRAM Interferometry School is offered every two years and it is intended for PhD students, post-docs and scientists who want to learn about interferometry and data reduction techniques at millimeter wavelengths, centred on the NOEMA interferometer and its new capabilities. A visit to the NOEMA Observatory will also be organised.
The IRAM headquarters in Grenoble will undergo significant renovations starting this summer. Therefore, unlike previous editions, the school this year will be held at the Hotel Mercure Grenoble Centre Porte des Alpes in Grenoble, in the week of September 28 – October 3, 2026. Further information can be found at the school page here
For any inquiry, please contact the organizing committee at school2026@iram.fr.

4. Conference: “Low-Metallicity ISM & Star Formation at All Redshifts”, 11-16 April, 2027, Aussois, France – First Announcement
—————————————————————————————-
We are organizing a conference that will focus on observations, models and simulations of interstellar media and of the star formation process at low metallicity. It will cover every type of low-metallicity systems, from the epoch of reionization to the contemporary Universe.
The conference will be held at the Centre Paul Langevin in the beautiful settings of the French Alps, located near a high-speed train line. This venue has accommodations and a restaurant that will allow fruitful discussions outside program hours. We are aiming for 80 participants in person.

5. Workshop : “The AGN-galaxy coevolution : comparing theory and observations”, 23-24 avril 2026, Paris, France
—————————————————————————————-
Deadline of abstract submission: 2 April 2026
Deadline for registration: 15 April 2026

6. Workshop: “ESO Expanding Horizons — What are the astronomical challenges of the 2040s?”, 13-17 July 2026, Garching, Germany
—————————————————————————————-
ESO’s Expanding Horizons process aims to identify the main scientific challenges that will face European astronomers in the 2040s, and the type of transformational ground-based facility that will be required to address these fundamental questions.
Following the call for Scientific White Papers in late 2025 – an initiative designed to galvanise the European astronomical community to engage in the Expanding Horizons process – we are delighted to announce this community-wide workshop.
This meeting will bring together astronomers from a wide range of research backgrounds to present their vision of what the key scientific questions will be 2040s. The workshop will also be a platform to investigate the potential synergies between the different scientific themes, the required facilities and the key enabling technologies needed for the 2040s and beyond.
This five-day workshop will consist of mixture of plenary and breakout sessions, with participants recommended to attend over the entire five-day programme.
Deadline of abstract submission: 10 April 2026
Deadline for registration: 25 May 2026
