1. Preliminary Announcement: “Les Journées Scientifiques Galaxies 2026 de l’ATCG”, 12 – 14 Oct. 2026, Institut d’Astrophysique de Paris (IAP), Paris, France

—————————————————————————————-

We are pleased to make the preliminary announcement that the Action Thématique de Cosmologie et Galaxies (ATCG) will organize “Les Journées Scientifiques Galaxies de l’ATCG” on 12–14 October 2026 in Paris.

As in the successful previous editions held in Strasbourg (2022) and Lyon (2024), this three-day event will bring together researchers working on the exciting topics of galaxy formation and evolution, nearby galaxies, and Galactic archeology. We will particularly encourage ATCG-funded researchers, as well as students, postdocs, and early-career scientists in France or connected to the French community, to present their work in these areas.

Further information, including the venue, registration details, and the conference website, will be provided in January. Save the dates and stay tuned!
