The abstract submission deadline for the “Journées Scientifiques Galaxies de l’ATCG 2026” is fast approaching: 29 May 2026.
The French Action Thématique de Cosmologie et Galaxies (ATCG) organizes a national conference on Oct 12-14 2026 at the Institut d’Astrophysique de Paris (IAP) and Observatory of Paris (ObsPM) on galaxy formation and evolution, nearby galaxies, and Galactic archeology.
We particularly encourage researchers funded by the ATCG, students, postdocs, and young researchers in France or with ties to the French community to present their work. Registration is free of charge. We have limited funds to support travel to Paris for those giving presentations — please ask when registering if needed.

2. Workshop: “5th Astro-COLIBRI multi-messenger astrophysics”, 12-16 Oct. 2026, Paris, France

We are pleased to announce the 5th Astro-COLIBRI multi-messenger astrophysics workshop, which will take place from October 12 to 16, 2026, at Institut Pascal at the Paris-Saclay University (France).
Building on the success of previous workshops, this international event aims to advance and share a research agenda focused on interconnecting software tools for real-time multi-messenger astronomy. It serves as a platform for leading scientists and early-career researchers to engage in discussions, fostering collaboration between developers and users with diverse expertise. By bringing together key contributors in software development and application, the workshop strengthens community ties and supports progress in the rapidly evolving field of real-time multi-messenger astronomy.
Topics to be discussed at the workshop include:
– Physics of transient phenomena and
– Multi-messenger observations of transients
– Alert & follow-up platforms
The first two days of the workshop will consist of invited and contributed talks to discuss the current issues, challenges and opportunities in real-time multimessenger astronomy. Following these introductions, we will work together in small teams in a Hackathon-like event brainstorming ideas and implementing prototypes of new tools and features.
We do not require a registration fee for the workshop and will be able to cover local expenses (lunch, coffee breaks, social dinner, etc.). Applications are open now and will close on June 30. Places are limited and will be allocated by the Scientific Organizing Committee after the closing of the registration. 3. Appel à propositions Horizon Europe sur l’exploitation des données spatiales

Après des années de disette, la Commission a remis de l’argent pour l’exploitation des missions spatiales. Le 1er call est en cours depuis mars, deadline début septembre. Côté français un atelier est organisé le 30 juin pour aider les proposants à mûrir leurs idées. Il faut s’inscrire avant le 2 juin. Inscrivez-vous-même si vous n’avez pour l’instant pas encore de projet bien défini !
